Hey there Mommy Bears!
I stumbled across a new app being advertised in my Facebook Feed recently, and thought I’d give it a try. I am often looking for things to do in my neck of the woods that I can do with Little Cub during the day, but sometimes it is hard to find a good fit.
The app was called Winnie. Here is a quick overview:
This app is pretty cool. As I stated in the video above, it is basically Foursquare, but more oriented towards families. I don’t have a full review written up on it yet, but here is an overview of what I have seen so far.
Finding Local Parks and Attractions with Winnie
The Winnie app makes it easy to find local attractions for some local family fun! All you have to do once you open the app is tap the search icon, and then tap what you are looking for! You can find local parks, activities for kids, family dining (including places where kids eat free!), local child care, places to play, indoor play, and more!
Help From the Locals
With the Winnie app, you also have access to forums. There are general forums, but you can also switch to local and see what questions people around you are asking. You have the opportunity to ask parenting questions by identifying yourself, or also anonymously. This way you can ask questions and get answers to questions you may be too embarrassed to ask.
