A Planner For the Whole Family!

I have been using the Prospr Planner: Mastery Edition for over a week now, and I feel very organized and ready to tackle my goals! Not only is this a planner, but it offers helpful tips and tools to motivate you and to breakdown your goals into manageable chunks. Complete with vision board, affirmations, and places to add photos for recaps and motivation, the Mastery Edition of the Prospr Planner does not disappoint.

This is a dated planner, so if you are looking to be more loose with your scheduling and maybe skip a couple days here and there, this may not be the planner for you. Each month is shown on convenient tabs to quickly find your place. As with most planners you get to plan your entire month, and then schedule out your days in their own individual sections.

This is a good planner for the whole family to set goals and keep track, because it is so large and has room to write down multiple appointments. By repeating these affirmation you can break down mental barriers and live the life you were meant to live! It is recommended to repeat these affirmations daily.

A Planner For Work, Family, Gratitude, and More!

I have been using the Prospr Planner: Sprint Edition for over a week now, and I must say that it flows pretty well. When starting your planning, there are 3 monthly calendars spaced throughout the planner. This is very helpful for marking down long-term meetings, plans, and goals. With the calendar you also get a space to plan your goals for the month, and steps you will take to meet these goals. This goals are meant to move you closer to your overall goal, which I discuss in a later section.

After the pages for the big picture for the month, you get individual day pages. These pages include a place to mark your 3 main goals for the day, and an hourly day schedule to plan out everything in detail. This has helped me keep on track and remember daily appointments.

There is also space to mark down morning and evening gratitude as well as family moments you want to remember from the day. These sections are the best, because in order to achieve true happiness in life, you have to be grateful for what you have and take nothing for granted. Reminding youself of the things you are thankful for will help keep your spirits high and motivated towards your goals!

The planner comes with stickers to place so you can mark the day and date, and also some other fun stickers to give some visual and pop to the planner and to keep you focused on what matters. The day and date stickers are one of the issues I had with this planner. Not a huge deal, but I feel like this heading could have been printed on each page, since you are likely wanting to write the day and date down anyways. Again, not a huge deal since there is plenty of space at the top to write today’s date without taking time for the stickers.

Opposite each day page is amble space to write down ideas, thoughts, and musings. This is great to have in a planner because you are always going to have good ideas (and some bad) and having this section allows you to look back on these ideas and see when you had the idea as well.

Every 7 pages there is a weekly recap and a prep page for the next week. This section is super helpful to reflect on what went right and wrong the previous week and make adjustments, as well as plan for what needs to happen in the coming week. My issue with this section is that the pages in the planner are not dated, so I may not necessarily use all 7 pages (like if I don’t want to plan on the weekend and take a day off), so I am on a new week, but not at the weekly recap. I either need to skip pages or my weekly recap will be off. This may have been better in a separate section or in a planner with dated pages, but it doesn’t deter me from using the planner. I will likely just skip some pages to hit the weekly recaps because they are important to fill out for sure.

Your Vision Board and Your Why

What are your long-term goals, and why do you want to reach them? PROSPR Planner helps you think about and document just that! There is a section towards the front of the planner that asks you to explain your “why”, your big vision for your future and where you want to be, and your commitment to your dreams (a.k.a. what you are willing to do to make those dreams a reality).

Since this is a very family-centered planner, and my family is a big part of my own life, I have not only personal goals listed here, but also goals for my family and where we want to be in the next 3-10 years. Sometimes it’s hard to plan that far ahead, but it’s necessary if you have a big dream. The earlier you start the better!

The vision board in the Sprint Edition is big for such a small planner. The page flips and folds out the the right, so you have extra space to draw, write, and paste the images to help bring a visual to your dreams. If you can see it, it is much easier to work for it.

The pages for your “why” and your vision board form the basis for everything else you plan in the PROSPR Planner, since your daily and weekly goals help get you towards your overall vision. Make sure not to skimp on these sections and clearly define what you want out of life. Everything else is just steps to making that happen!

The product that I am reviewing today is the Cossac Planner. From what I have seen of this planner, it is great for tracking your monthly, weekly, and daily goals for both your work and personal life. What this planner means for moms is that you can track your work, whether from home or at the office, as well as keep goals and appointments for your family.

 

This planner is super detailed. You can keep track of months, which is good for work goals as well as writing down doctors appointments, soccer practices, and much more! Next you have pages that help you detail your weeks. This section would be fantastic for meal planning, jotting down closer appointments, and scheduling different activities to do with the kids each day, especially if you keep an eye on the weather and plan between inside and outside fun.

The planner has numerous single day sheets where you can plan your daily priorities, make an entire schedule for the day, and keep track of good habits you are trying to keep going in your life, or even habits for your kids as well. Each section is undated, so if you miss a day, or even a whole month of planning, you can jump back in when life gets hectic again, and you need to plan it out.

The Cossac Planner also includes plenty of sections to reflect on your previous month, week, or day. This will help you see what went well in your planning, and what may still need some work. Cossac boasts that this planner will help you become so organized, you will have time to plan out your passion project, and they have a box in the weekly goals section for just that. Keep your passion project in the forefront of your mind, and take notes on that and anything else in the ample space this planner has for notes, mind-mapping, and brainstorming.

The Tough Planner For Your Tough Schedule

This planner is a six month planner, and since you will be carrying it around for so long, it only makes sense that it is made of tough materials that will last during the long period of usage. The Cossac Planner is beautifully made of high-quality materials and acid-free paper so keep your notes and schedules in tact for a long time.

The planner itself feels very sturdy in your hand, if not a little bit thick. Since I have covered what I really like about this planner, I think it is also important to touch on what I didn’t like as well. Let’s get into the cons of the review.

The Cons of the Cossac Planner

While this planner has a lot of good things going for it, I did notice some negative things about it.

To start, there are a lot of sections in this planner. A lot of check-boxes, schedules, list types, room for passion projects, places for tracking habits, and places for tracking your health. While all of this makes a little more sense to me now that I have been around the planner for awhile, it seems like it has a little bit of a steeper learning curve than you would expect with a planner. You can get the jist of it right away, but you will miss all the features unless you watch the tutorial video that they advertise throughout the planner.

The fact that a planner needs a tutorial video seems a little much for me. Especially since you have to sign up for Cossac’s email opt-in list to even watch the video, which seems a little unfair since you already bought the planner. The video is two-and-a-half minutes long, and helps clear up a lot of things about the planner, but still seems like a lot to go through to be able to use a planner.

I was also very confused about how they laid out the weeks, months, and years of the planner. There are 6 months in the planner. There are a number of weeks in the planner that matches the 6 months, which is 24. But then you get 272 single day pages. This is about 9 months worth of days. So why would we need 3 extra months worth of days if we can’t plan out the month or weeks as a whole bigger picture at the same time?

My suggestion is that they should add 3 more pages to make it a 9 month planner, or take out 90 of the day pages and make it a lighter planner that is easier to carry around. This may not bother other moms out there, but it seemed a little off to me.

My Review of the Cossac Planner

Once you get the hang of everything in the Cossac Planner, it makes sense, and it’s cool you get to track your personal and work goals all at once, but the extra pages and the steep learning curve for being a planner keep this away from the 5 star mark for me.

My rating for the Cossac Planner is 3.5 out of 5. Don’t get me wrong. It would be a great planner to have to keep your life in order, just make sure you watch the tutorial to get the most of the planner. Also, let me know if you find out what the extra 90 pages are for. Still puzzling…
