Hey fellow mommies!
The past couple of weeks I have been doing a free trial for something called Qeepsake. Never heard of it? Well this is the newest way to do a baby book for your little one without so much of the hassle. It is an online baby book!
How Qeepksake Works
Qeepsake texts you and asks you questions every day and puts the questions and answers that you give it inside your online baby book, you can also text them randomly as you make fun memories.
It takes a couple of weeks to start the free trial unless you get 2 friends to sign up also, and then you can skip it and start it immediately. If you get 2 more friends to sign up, you also get to have 2 weeks of free trial with pictures that you can add as well. If you get 10 friends to sign up then you get 1 year of Qeepsake free without payment.
That is one of the downsides of Qeepsake. After your 2 weeks, unless you end up getting 10 friends to sign up and end up with a year free, this does cost, unless you want to keep it with no photos, and you can never end up getting the book.
Opposed to a baby book having one cost once ever, you continue to pay for the convenience of these people doing it for you to keep memories with pictures and eventually be able to physically buy the book on top of yearly costs which for 1 year, 2 questions a day and 10 pictures a month is $36. For 1 year, with 4 questions a day and 50 pictures uploaded a month, it is $96.
My Thoughts On the App
Depending on your price range it could be cool, especially if you are the mom with 4 children and really do not have the time to put a baby book together yourself. This company organizes your entries by how old the child is, and is fairly organized though, so that is a plus! For the free version though, unless you really have zero time, in my opinion, do you really want a baby book with no photos? To me that does not seem worth it, but what I did like about this free trial was that it gave me questions to answer that I ordinarily do not always think about and gave me the chance to really think about that and always have that answer now in the future for my daughter.
Overall, Qeepsake is a pretty cool idea for an easy baby book. It is simple, just a text message, or a few a day depending on what plan you go with. I would not spend the money on this, but it was a cool, and pretty easy experience so if this sounds interesting sign up for the free trial!
My Review For Qeepsake
Even if you do not get friends to sign up, you will at least get to try Qeepsake for 2 weeks after you sign up and you can see how you like it and if you feel as if it is something worth spending your money on.
Overall, I give this free trial 3/5 stars. It was cool and easy, organized and all that, but with no pictures definitely brings the rating way down! But like I said with it being free for a couple of weeks, try it out for yourself, and see if YOU like it!
If you have any questions or comments for me PLEASE leave them below I would love to hear from some of you mommies! I would also love to hear about YOUR experience with this program if you try it!

Has anyone gotten the book in the end? Is it cute, good quality, etc? What are the reviews and cost for the physical book?
We have not gotten the book! My daughter is now 13 months old and they still text me questions all of the time. At some point in the future we may look into getting the actual book but as of now we have not. For the prices, if you want a book that is 1-20 pages and 1-85 entries, it is $29.99 and for 21-50 pages, and 86-200 entries, the price is $44.99. Anything that is above that you need to email Qeepsake and the will give you more info! I hope this helps!
Maybe have a look at genforward.org
IT’s a complete family legacy builder which also contains the ability to build annotated photo albums. This can be done on desktop or mobile and the whole thing even works with cell phone built in voice recognition.
Right now, it’s actually a free service as well
Looked at the site a little bit. Seems like a neat product. Would maybe be nice to see a little product demo so we could see what the behind-the-scenes of the product looked like.
Question:
How long will this company be around? Until my children graduate, their wedding, their children?
It’s hard to say. They just turned down an offer from the Sharks on Shark Tank, but they did want 20% of the business. This makes me think that they have a plan for growth. Either way, you can get your book printed out, so you won’t have to rely on the online diary being there forever.
Hi Heather! Jeff McNeil from Qeepsake here. While we did turn down an offer from the Sharks on ABC’s Shark Tank, we’ve since raised a sizable round of investment from other (non-Shark) investors who are an awesome fit for us. Qeepsake is on great financial footing and we take our responsibility of housing parents’ most precious memories for the long haul very seriously.
I hope you are around for the long haul! This is such a cool concept, and I can’t wait to see where it is headed!
Can we see a product demo?
I just checked out the Qeepsake website and found it extremely disappointing. As the initial *salesperson* for the product, their site falls short. You can’t see any costs or a complete list of features, and even to give as a gift, the description of features says “and way more” without actually defining what I would be getting for my money. There is no FAQ section, no real information on the features to be found. Not even examples of the question set. Perhaps if I sign up I’d have access to more information but that isn’t a fair trade in my opinion. So I’m opting not to sign up on the off chance that my questions get answered. They get my contact info to *potentially* sell to a third party to spam me through and I could wind up with no real info on the product after I gain access anyway. I wish their website was better – I like the idea of the product, but without further info, I can’t justify going beyond their uninformative home page to *maybe* make a purchase. With online shopping being the way of the future, Qeepsake will need to do a lot better with providing information on their product to generate sales.
Hey Summer,
I looked around the site a little more than I had previously, and you are right. The site does seem to be lacking some functionality and is a little confusing to navigate. I’ve decided to create a new account and give it a test run from fresh eyes so I can deliver a report on what I find out about using the site and signing up!
I was also looking into their privacy policy and see that only their few employees and some 3rd party vendors have access to your information. They state that every employee has passed a criminal background and sex offender check. It doesn’t expressly say that they won’t sell your information to 3rd parties, but it doesn’t say that they will or reserve the right to either. It seems like they are going for security and whatnot with your information.
