Hey out there Mommy Bears.
I wanted to open up the blog to some questions that moms can find helpful advice by reading. This week’s questions is, “Should I let my child play games on my cell phone?”
Little Cub and My Phone
Being the mom of a 15 month old, I haven’t had to deal with this much. My husband let’s Little Cub play a balloon pop game from time to time, but other than that she isn’t on our phones that often. She will grab our phones and hand them to us, or try and grab them when we are on a call, but other than that, she pretty much has no access.
Questions About Kids Using Your Phone
So, for the discussion below, here are some questions to get the discussion started:
Should kids be allowed to play games on your phone?
At what age should you let kids play games on your phone?
Are there specific types of games that should be allowed?
Should screen time be limited?
Please keep in mind that these are just some starter questions, and you can add anything related to this subject to the comments below! I look forward to hearing from everyone and participating in the conversation! This will also give me some good insight as Little Cub gets older!

As I stated above, Little Cub plays a balloon pop game sometimes, but we really try to limit her game time on our phones. I understand that some games help with development, but I see so many older kids just walking around with their face in their phones, and if you even talk to them they get irritable and angry that you are disturbing them. This is also a problem I see at events like weddings, where they kids are being bribed with game time, and then ignore the entire event while playing on the phone.
Are there certain settings where phone time should be allowed over others?
