What Does Being A VIPKID Teacher Pay?

VIPKID teacher pay directly relates to the amount of hours you are willing to work.

While it is true that teachers start at different pay rates per class, the variation of the starting pay is small.

There is a possibility of making a full-time job out of being a VIPKID teacher, but you have to be dedicated and patient.

Building up your clientele takes some time.

The VIPKID Teacher Pay Range

When you start as a teacher with VIPKID, you will start out somewhere between $7 and $9 per class.

Since VIPKID classes are 25 minutes long, this equates to $14 to $18 per hour.

But VIPKID boasts that they pay up to $22 per hour, so where does the extra money come in?

Well, you get BONUSES!

Your extra $2 to $4 per hour comes from your pay bonuses.

You get a $1 bonus for showing up to your class on time. This can be tricky to meet when you have back-to-back classes. Make sure you keep your classes at 25 minutes each if you want this extra $1.

You also get a $1 per class if you teach 45 or more classes per month. This will be retroactive pay to all the classes you completed that month. If you are making VIPKID your full-time gig, this will be a nice added bonus that should be easy enough to hit if you have built up your clientele.

Does VIPKID Pay a Full-Time Salary?

If you are able to book enough classes, and can be nocturnal enough to make 40 hours per week, you will be making in the range of $2,880 and $3,520 per month.

This is a decent amount to live off of in many areas of the United States, but you also have to keep in mind that this job doesn’t include benefits like Dental and Health Insurance.

If you have a spouse that holds a job that offers benefits, then VIPKID is an entirely viable option to go full-time with a decent teacher pay.
