Hey there Mommy Bears!

Prospr Planner has sent us their Mastery Edition to review for you, and I must say that I am impressed! In contrast to their Sprint Edition, the Mastery Planner is less of a travel-sized planner, and more of a planner for the whole family to keep and home and stay focused!

Let’s discuss.

A Planner For the Whole Family!

I have been using the Prospr Planner: Mastery Edition for over a week now, and I feel very organized and ready to tackle my goals! Not only is this a planner, but it offers helpful tips and tools to motivate you and to breakdown your goals into manageable chunks. Complete with vision board, affirmations, and places to add photos for recaps and motivation, the Mastery Edition of the Prospr Planner does not disappoint.

This is a dated planner, so if you are looking to be more loose with your scheduling and maybe skip a couple days here and there, this may not be the planner for you. Each month is shown on convenient tabs to quickly find your place. As with most planners you get to plan your entire month, and then schedule out your days in their own individual sections.

After each week, you get a weekly recap page and a page to plan your goals for the next week. How will you improve? What went right the previous week? What went wrong? With this planner you have plenty of room to jot it all down and make it happen.

This is a good planner for the whole family to set goals and keep track, because it is so large and has room to write down multiple appointments. While it can be good for the whole family, it still may need to be managed by one person in the family, because as with many planners you can kind of make your own system with it, and too many people at once can mess things up.

The family aspect shines through when they ask you to write down your family’s mission statement. Who are you as a family? What does your family stand for? Write it down and live your life through your mission!

Planner Stickers and Affirmations

The Mastery Edition comes with 3 pages of stickers to add a nice splash of color to your pages as well as a little bit of visual motivation. I like adding the stickers next to my goals, so I can easily see what days I need to exercise, when family time is scheduled, etc.

This planner also helps greatly with motivation! Not only are their tips on how to have a happy and productive day, but it also lists 30 affirmations that you need to tell yourself in order to be in the right mindset to succeed. By repeating these affirmation you can break down mental barriers and live the life you were meant to live! It is recommended to repeat these affirmations daily.

Make Your Vision Come To Life

As I already said, this planner comes with a Vision Board so you can help yourself reach your goals by visualizing them. If you can see your goal, you are more likely to relate to it more and reach it! The vision board in this planner folds out so you have extra room to add the stuff that is important to you. This maximizes space and gives you room to dream!

Become the Master of Your Life

One of the best things about this planner is it helps you to develop habits that will lead to success. Each week has a little chart where you can check off that you consciously practiced these mastery habits each and every day to make yourself better.

These habits are:
Gratitude – Being thankful for what you have now does wonders for your life!
Exercise – A healthy body helps build a healthy mind.
Prayer/ Meditation – Quiet reflection time is always a plus. Slowing down in today’s busy world is vital.
Affirmations – Telling yourself you can do anything you want. Positive reinforcement does work!
Family Time – Success means nothing if you aren’t spending time with your family along the way.
Read Book – Always be learning or going on adventures!

My Review for the Prospr Planner Mastery Edition

Overall, this is a great planner that helps you keep your family as well as your own goals in mind. It is a little big to travel with in my opinion, but it is great to keep around the house to make sure you are staying on track and always working towards your goals.

I would rate the Prospr Planner Mastery Edition at a 5 out of 5 stars!

Today I wanted to share with you another planner that can help organize your parenting and work life to help get you more time with you family, and more done at work. This planner is called the Prospr Planner. There are 3 different versions of this planner, and today I will be reviewing the Sprint Edition!

A Planner For Work, Family, Gratitude, and More!

I have been using the Prospr Planner: Sprint Edition for over a week now, and I must say that it flows pretty well. When starting your planning, there are 3 monthly calendars spaced throughout the planner. This is very helpful for marking down long-term meetings, plans, and goals. With the calendar you also get a space to plan your goals for the month, and steps you will take to meet these goals. This goals are meant to move you closer to your overall goal, which I discuss in a later section.

After the pages for the big picture for the month, you get individual day pages. These pages include a place to mark your 3 main goals for the day, and an hourly day schedule to plan out everything in detail. This has helped me keep on track and remember daily appointments.

There is also space to mark down morning and evening gratitude as well as family moments you want to remember from the day. These sections are the best, because in order to achieve true happiness in life, you have to be grateful for what you have and take nothing for granted. Reminding youself of the things you are thankful for will help keep your spirits high and motivated towards your goals!

The planner comes with stickers to place so you can mark the day and date, and also some other fun stickers to give some visual and pop to the planner and to keep you focused on what matters. The day and date stickers are one of the issues I had with this planner. Not a huge deal, but I feel like this heading could have been printed on each page, since you are likely wanting to write the day and date down anyways. Again, not a huge deal since there is plenty of space at the top to write today’s date without taking time for the stickers.

Opposite each day page is amble space to write down ideas, thoughts, and musings. This is great to have in a planner because you are always going to have good ideas (and some bad) and having this section allows you to look back on these ideas and see when you had the idea as well.

Every 7 pages there is a weekly recap and a prep page for the next week. This section is super helpful to reflect on what went right and wrong the previous week and make adjustments, as well as plan for what needs to happen in the coming week. My issue with this section is that the pages in the planner are not dated, so I may not necessarily use all 7 pages (like if I don’t want to plan on the weekend and take a day off), so I am on a new week, but not at the weekly recap. I either need to skip pages or my weekly recap will be off. This may have been better in a separate section or in a planner with dated pages, but it doesn’t deter me from using the planner. I will likely just skip some pages to hit the weekly recaps because they are important to fill out for sure.

Your Vision Board and Your Why

What are your long-term goals, and why do you want to reach them? PROSPR Planner helps you think about and document just that! There is a section towards the front of the planner that asks you to explain your “why”, your big vision for your future and where you want to be, and your commitment to your dreams (a.k.a. what you are willing to do to make those dreams a reality).

Since this is a very family-centered planner, and my family is a big part of my own life, I have not only personal goals listed here, but also goals for my family and where we want to be in the next 3-10 years. Sometimes it’s hard to plan that far ahead, but it’s necessary if you have a big dream. The earlier you start the better!

The vision board in the Sprint Edition is big for such a small planner. The page flips and folds out the the right, so you have extra space to draw, write, and paste the images to help bring a visual to your dreams. If you can see it, it is much easier to work for it.

The pages for your “why” and your vision board form the basis for everything else you plan in the PROSPR Planner, since your daily and weekly goals help get you towards your overall vision. Make sure not to skimp on these sections and clearly define what you want out of life. Everything else is just steps to making that happen!

Schedule Your Day and Remain Inspired

Be diligent. You need some type of planner in your life for yourself and your family, or you will float through life with no clear direction. It is also easy to miss things that you don’t schedule, such as family time if you are a busy working parent. Schedule family time in and it won’t be missed. Schedule that exercise in multiple times a week, and you will be more likely to do it and work towards better health. The PROSPR Planner definitely helps you do all this in a fun and concise way.

If at any point you get stuck or confused on what type of information should be entered in the different section of the planner, the Sprint Edition of the PROSPR Planner comes with not only text instructions on how to use it, but also 8 pages of samples entries to serve as a guide to help you along the way.

My Review for the Prospr Planner Sprint Edition

Overall, this is a great planner that provides a ton of ways to stay focused, stay inspired, and drive you towards your goals. There was the minor issues with the weekly planning being in a weird spot, and having to add stickers to mark each day, but this doesn’t take much away from the overall experience.

I would rate the Prospr Planner Sprint Edition at a 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Hello Mommy Bears!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas, and that you have enough space in your house for all the toys your relatives bought for your little cubs! I know that we had to do a lot of rearranging to get things to fit.

One of the cool toys that Little Cub got for Christmas was the Fisher‑Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Piggy Bank. She really loves playing with this toy, and has gotten a lot of use out of it in the last week or so, so I thought it would be a good one to review for other moms out there!

The Bilingual Piggy Bank That Teaches Counting

This Smart Stages Piggy Bank doesn’t contain a lot of features, but it gets the job done if you are looking to teach your little cubs how to count, and also some 2nd language skills at the same time. The bank comes with 10 coins that your kid can put in the slot, and the bank counts them out loud as they go.

Once you reach 10, the piggy bank starts singing a song about the coins and counting, which is a nice little reward for them getting all the coins in the slots. For Stage 1, the piggy just counts in English, and Stage 2, the piggy counts the coins out in English, and then Spanish right after to help with learning the translations for numbers 1 through 10.

The nose of the piggy bank is a button that makes the pig sneeze, or say a couple short phrases. The item description on the Fisher-Price website claims that this little piggy has 40+ songs and phrases that it says and sings, although that seems like it may be exaggerated.

It is also cool that, in the theme of teaching kids basic words, the pig says “open” and “close” when you open and close the door. It’s nice to have this added feature for extra learning!

The Negative For The Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Piggy Bank

While there are a lot of good things about this toy, it has a drawback. The main drawback of this toy is that it starts recounting the coins if you wait too long to add another one. And I’m not talking about 10 minutes.

My Little Cub is only 16 months old, and it sometimes takes her a few tries to get the skinny coin up to the skinny slot and pushed inside. I haven’t timed exactly when it restarts, but it has to be less that 2 minutes. Sometimes, by the time she gets another coin up and to the slot, the pig starts back at 1. This is an issue for me because she loves music, and the child gets rewarded with a song when they put all 10 coins in. The song only happens if the piggy counts up to 10.

There have been times when she has gotten 8, and was set back to 1 for “waiting too long”, and didn’t get her song. The cheat for this is to take one of the remaining coins and trigger the switch 8 times and let her continue, but this can become a burden.

It is important to note that pushing the nose during a counting cycle will reset the pig’s count also. Since babies love buttons, this is a problem as well.

My Review For The Fisher‑Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Piggy Bank

Despite the issues with the counter resetting, Little Cub loves this piggy bank toy. She loves clapping when she gets the coin in the slot, and looks at us to clap and appraise her as well. It has helped to fine-tune her fine motor skills as the coins are thin, as is the slot, making it hard, but not too hard for baby to get the coin inside piggy’s belly. The few songs that it has are fun, and Fisher-Price seems to shell out some pretty solid toys overall.

Given the many good and one bad aspects of this toy, My rating is a 4 out of 5.
