I’ve recently started teaching with VIPKID, and one of my biggest questions was, “What are the hours you have to teach if you are accepted into the program?”
Luckily for me I knew someone in the program already, and she was able to be a world of help in getting me an answer to this question.
Some of you out there may not know someone who is a VIPKID teacher already, so I am here to help!
So What Are The VIPKID Teaching Hours?
Well, it depends on where you live.
That said, if you are NOT a morning person, you may as well turn back now.
…
…
Still here?
Great! Here we go!
China is 13 to 16 hours ahead of the United States, depending on what part of the country you live in.
Peak times to get booked are between 6pm and 10pm in China.
Let’s break this down by time zone to see what your peak teaching times would be:
Eastern: 5am to 9am
Central: 4am to 8am
Mountain: 3am to 7am
Pacific: 2am to 6am
See? Pretty Early.

Are There Any Night Hours Available?
There are some options for night hours, but you are not likely to get booked unless you are opening spots on Friday or Saturday night.
As I said before, if you want to teach with VIPKID, you really have to be a morning person.
Are You A Morning Person With A Bachelor’s Degree?
If you are a morning person with a Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of teaching experience, I’d love for you to join me as a VIPKID teacher!
If you can get past the early hours, it really is a fun and very rewarding job.
