I am super amped up for the holiday season! I have most of my shopping done, and boy was it a chore! I wanted to make shopping easier for you, so I made this quick 5 question quiz that will tell you what toy the kid in your life is probably interested in!

2.) R2-D2 App-Enabled Droid by Sphero

I love my BB-8 Sphero Droid, so I can only imagine that this one would be just as cool! You can download an app on your smart phone and control R2-D2, or you can use some coding skills to program him beforehand. This toy teaches your kids complete STEM activities, so they will get a jump start on their programming skills. It also comes with holographic simulation, which the BB-8 droid did as well. You tall it to project something, and it will shoot the projection into the air, which you can then view through your phone screen, but through the screen it looks like it is in your room. Super cool!

3.) Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit

If your kid is less interested in a moving toy straight out of the box, and more interested in building the droid from the ground up, this may be more the toy for them. The description says that kids can change the droid from being R2-D2 into any droid that they can imagine, since the electronic blocks have different functions and can be moved around. This toy will really stretch your kids imagination and help them in building their own really cool droid! The Droid Inventor Kit has a 4.4 star rating on Amazon with 56 customer reviews.

4.) Osmo Genius Kit

This Genius Kit requires an iPad, so if you don’t have one, you may want to check into one of the other toys on my list here. If you do have an iPad, this kit can help give your kid some hands-on learning. The kit encourages visual thinking and problem solving through various games and activities. It teaches math and spelling, and even makes it fun for them! The Genius Kit has a 4.7 star rating on Amazon with 517 customer reviews.

5.) Cozmo

Cozmo also made my previous list of top toys. This little palm-sized robot can learn different things with your kids, plays different games, and can teach your kids programming and logical thinking. Teach your kids that coding is fun with Cozmo! 4.4 out of 5 stars with 1,268 customer reviews.

Here is the list of holiday gifts for the 8 to 13 year old kids out there! We are seeing some pricey toys in this range, but there is a lot of fun to be had here. It looks like were are getting into robots and build-your-own kits in this age range.

1.) LEGO Ninjago Movie Destiny’s Bounty

I am not even really sure what this is from. I think LEGO Ninjago was a movie, and this LEGO set goes with that movie. This toy has a 5 out of 5 stars on Amazon, with 10 customer reviews. There are 2295 pieces in this kit, including pieces to build the boat as well as 7 little LEGO figures that come with it. This seems like a really neat build kit for kids who are into LEGOs and this movie in particular.

2.) Cozmo

This little robot is supposed to learn with you the more you interact with it. It is supposed to be a good toy to teach kids early computer coding basics. It looks bigger in the main picture than it appears in the picture next to the kids. It looks like it could fit in the palm of your hand. Got a little future programmer? This may be the hot toy for them!

3.) K’NEX Thrill Rides Web Weaver Roller Coaster Building Set

This K’NEX tower has 439 pieces that connect to make a 2.5 feet tall roller coaster tower. The track is glow in the dark and the coaster cart is air powered. This toy is meant to bring out the engineer in your child and help them develop the right thinking to building different systems and the physics of the roller coaster. This k’NEX tower gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars with 18 customer reviews.

4.) My Little Pony: The Movie My Magical Princess Twilight Sparkle

Not sure why this is in such a high age group, as Little Cub would probably love this toy, and she is just over 1 years old! The My Little Pony doll has 90+ sayings, can tell you stories, and talks about the different magic spells it “knows”. The pony has poseable legs and comes with the tiara. This toy has a 4.6 out of 5 stars on Amazon with 11 customer reviews.

5.) Star Wars: The Last Jedi Rey (Jedi Training) Force Link Figure 3.75 Inches

I’m sure my husband will be stoked that a Star Wars toy finally made the list! This Rey action figure from The Last Jedi stands at 3.75 inches tall, and is a part of something called Force Link (<<< which you can see more figures belonging to this set at this affiliate link). This action figure has a 5 star rating with 2 customer reviews.

Hello Mommy Bears!

Here is the list of holiday gifts for the 5 to 7 year old kids out there! This set of toys get more into some games and more intermediate concepts as kids are beginning to develop some more complex thoughts. From the looks of it, this is where parents start getting more involved with the toys, and I am so looking forward to Little Cub getting to this stage so I can start to play along! 🙂

1.) Hasbro Connect 4 Game

The classic Connect 4 from Hasbro has topped the list for gifts for 5 to 7 year olds! The game has 4.7 stars and a huge 2,020 reviews. This is a no nonsense version that is just like the classic. No electronics and no fancy noises or lights. Show your little cubs a good time with a game that you enjoyed as a little cub yourself. I know that I used to have some fun with this one!

2.) Soggy Doggy Board Game

Soggy Doggy comes in at number 2 in the gift category, and has 29 customer reviews with a 4.3 star rating. I had to read through the instructions to see if actual water was involved, and it turns out that it is. You will get wet when playing this game, and according to the rules that’s not a good thing. If the dog shakes because you landed on the wrong square, it’s back to the start with you! Sounds like a lot of fun to me, but you want to make sure to be prepared to get yourself and your surroundings wet in the process of playing.

3.) Hatchimals Glittering Garden – Hatching Egg and Interactive Sparkly Penguala by Spin Master

I wasn’t really sure what Hatchimals were until reading the description on them, since Little Cub isn’t old enough to fit this age range yet.  Apparently, a Hatchimal is an egg when you get it, and it indicates to you when it is ready to hatch. Through a series of touching and encouragement, the egg will hatch with a surprise bird inside. Not sure if they look different, or just have different colors. Once out of the egg, you have to teach this little critter to walk, talk, dance, and play games. Seems like a good way to teach kids some responsibility of taking care of a pet, with some fun games involved as well. This toy has a 4.3 star rating with 126 customer reviews.

4.) Tsum Tsum Disney Countdown to Christmas Advent Calendar Playset

I usually like my advent calendars to have chocolate in them, but this seems like a healthy and more fun alternative for children. With this calendar, each day has a different Tsum Tsum toy or accessory that your kid gets to play with. There are 18 toys and 6 accessories, so you get a nice variety of each. What a fun way to count down to Christmas!

5.) Disney Moana Girls Adventure Outfit

Moana makes this list, as it did for the previous age group. Let your little cub dress as Moana whenever they want to!  Unfortunately, the Heart of Te Fiti is still sold separately.

I have been looking through the Amazon Holiday Toy List for 2017, and decided to bring you the highest rated toys of the Top 100 toys on Amazon! To make it easier, I have broken it down by age group, and I will link to the other age groups in this post and on a central post so you can navigate easier.

Each age group list of toys will have the top 5 best selling and best rated items (except for this list which only pulled up with 4 items, but 1 of them is one that I have reviewed before because Little Cub loves it!). I hope you enjoy the list, and as always, these are affiliate links that give me a commission to help support my site while costing you nothing extra in the process!

1.) Paw Patrol Sea Patroller Transforming Vehicle with Lights and Sounds

Paw Patrol tops the list for 2 to 4 year olds with this transforming boat! It rates a 4.5 out of 5 stars with 61 customer reviews. The wheels on the bottom of the boat fold up so the Paw Patrol can save the day on both land and on the sea. This toy has lights and noise, so mommy bears, be prepared for some noisy rescue missions from the little cubs. This says for ages 3+, so be aware of that when looking at this toy. It does look like there are some smaller pieces that are meant to be the flotation rescue devices.

2.) LeapFrog Shapes And Sharing Picnic Basket

The LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket also makes the list for the 2 to 4 year olds! This was also on the list for birth to 24 months, but it was number 1 there. You can read my review on the picnic basket here This product has 1844 reviews and holds a 4.8 stars on Amazon! As I stated in the previous list, Little Cub has enjoyed this picnic basket so much. The pieces can get lost kinda easily since there are a bunch, but it is still fun to hear the songs and to let her take in all the knowledge of shapes and colors this toy provides.

3.) Manhattan Toy Winkel Rattle and Sensory Teether Toy

This was also a toy that was on the birth to 24 month old list. It must still be in the 2 to 4 year old gift category for those late teethers. It also just looks like something fun that your little cub can throw around, but to me it still seems like a toy for younger kids. It was in this category though, so here it is at number 3!

4.) Disney Moana Girls Adventure Outfit

This 2 piece outfit has 352 reviews on Amazon and rates at 4.4 stars. Honestly, this is probably at the top of the list because I am writing this on Halloween, but you can’t argue that your little cub will love to wear this any time of the year. Looks like the size is a child size small, and is recommended for ages 3+, which I’m guessing is the recommendation because that’s the size of little cub it will fit. Unfortunately, the Heart of Te Fiti is sold separately.

5.) Paw Patrol – My Size Lookout Tower with Exclusive Vehicle, Rotating Periscope and Lights and Sounds

Coming in at number 5 on the list for 2 to 4 year olds is the Paw Patrol – My Size Lookout Tower. It rates 4.7 stars out of 5 on Amazon with 56 customer reviews. Why is it called my size? The tower stands at 2.5 feet tall, so it is likely just about as tall as your little cub in this age range. Just like the above Paw Patrol boat, this toy has lights and noise. It also says each characters catch phrase with the push of a button. It looks like it only comes with the Chase Vehicle to get you started, but the description says it is compatible with any Paw Patrol basic vehicles. The tower can launch these vehicles down the slide for some great rescue fun! Again, for ages 3+.

1.) LeapFrog Shapes And Sharing Picnic Basket

Right out of the gate is the LeapFrog Shapes And Sharing Picnic Basket I reviewed, and it’s so cool to see it at number 1 on this list! This product has 1840 reviews and still holds a 4.8 out of 5 stars! Little Cub has enjoyed this picnic basket so much, especially when we can find all the pieces to put back in the basket, they tend to wander off since she carries them around so much. The basket teaches shapes, colors, open & close, and sings songs. It also is fun to have a pretend picnic instead of a tea party as little girls usually like.

2.) Manhattan Toy Winkel Rattle and Sensory Teether Toy

This Rattle and teether has a 4.7 star rating on Amazon with 3,724 customer reviews. Can’t go wrong there! This toy is made with safe plastics and encourages your little cub to play with both hands since there are so many things to grab on to! It has also won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Blue Chip Award. Any toy that successfully helps baby develop AND teeth gets an A+ in my book. Teething is rough, mommies. If you aren’t to that stage yet, brace yourselves.

3.) Hape Pound & Tap Bench with Slide Out Xylophone

This product seems cool if you can brave a little noise. It scored a 4.5 star rating with 884 reviews. This Pound & Tap bench gives your little cub a wood hammer to smack some balls that are just to small to fit through their hole. Once the ball is smacked they slide down the xylophone and out the side to make some sweet music as a reward for little cub hitting the ball through. The xylophone can be removed to play with separately, or also to make the balls not make noise when they are smacked, so you can really save on the extra headache if you are noise sensitive at the moment!

4.) VTech Sit, Stand and Ride Baby Walker

A little more pricey than the other toys in this category, but also very versatile in helping with different stages of development! The VTech Sit, Stand and Ride Baby Walker rates at 4.4 stars on Amazon with 101 customer reviews. This toy lays on the floor to allow sitters and crawlers to play with the buttons and gadgets. When they are able to start walking around, the walker stands up as well. The seat can then come together and when your little cub learns balance, they can ride around on the walker. As I said, very versatile in aiding with development as they grow up and advance.

It’s that time of year again, and wow am I excited! Christmas (Holiday) season is here! On November first I am going to be in full Christmas mode, and since I am all about the Holiday Spirit, I wanted to help out my fellow mommy bears and list out Amazon’s Top 2017 Holiday Toys! Not only that, but I only wanted to list the best of the best, so I listed the top 5 toys from each category.

I have divided the lists into the different age groups that Amazon provides, so you can jump right to the age group you are looking for gifts for! Each article will also have a link at the end to bring you back here in case you want to explore the other age groups I have available.

No matter what holiday you are celebrating this winter, it is the season of giving, so grab some cocoa, sing some songs, and enjoy this time with your family and friends!
